GRAND CANYON, The most amazing natural wonder I have ever seen.

Apart from my wife. Arriving at Grand Canyon in Jan 2016 was eagerly anticipated, especially considering we had just driven 700 odd kilometres from Los Angeles. It was snowing and bitterly cold on our arrival. No matter. The first walk along the rim (we were advised not to walk down into the canyon unless we had crampons) was amidst cloud and limited visibility. But it cleared to reveal the most breathtaking scenery I have ever seen. I already said that. The next day we flew over in a helicopter, with the sounds of The Doors ‘Riders on the storm’, Pavarotti, U2 and Pink Floyd et al blasting in our ears. It was truly unforgettable. I shot all these on my Canon 5D MarkIII, using mainly the 24-70mm f2.8 L Series lens. You must put this on your bucket list. If fact, you need a separate bucket, it’s that special.
